Install Location: The Governors Inn, Tallahassee, FL
Parties Involved: ICP, Solaira, The Governors Inn Mgmt team
Application: Commercial Hospitality
Products Used: Solaira ICR Series, Solaira Omnis Control
Background
The Governors Inn is a small, boutique condo hotel. The site of the Governors Inn was originally a livery stable, with the original structure dating back to the 1800s. The property is undergoing a substantial renovation. The Governors Inn developed a blueprint that included outdoor heaters for public gathering areas in front of the building structure.
Challenges
The design required heaters to be positioned and mounted effectively for effective performance and integrate with existing hotel hardware and decor. The principal matter was to shelter the heaters from street level public eye.
Solution
The Governors Inn team, supported by the ICP and Solaira team decided on the Solaira ICR Series heaters in RAL9002 black finish with a CSA/UL certification. Utilizing the proprietary Heat Spec tool by Solaira, an evenly distributed heating plan with multiple heat zones and independent Solaira Omnis variable controls that allows the restaurant management team to adjust the heater output and based on ambient temperatures.
Conclusion
The application was a successful integration of heating zone management and variable heating control. The Governors Inn continues to provide exceptional hospitality to their guests within the newly renovated boutique hotel. On cool days, hotel management relyon Solaira infrared heaters to provide added climate comfort and control for their loyal patrons all year round.
